How Using Your Insurance Can Impact the Therapeutic Process and Expose Your Personal Health Information
The Counseling Center does not directly bill insurance companies for services. Upon paying the full fee upfront, I will provide you with a detailed receipt (known as a Superbill). Superbills are automatically generated and sent via the Patient Portal on the 10th day of each month. Submit this receipt with the reimbursement claim form you get from your insurance company. Claim forms are typically found in your account on the insurance company’s website.
Submitting a Superbill is not a guarantee of payment. Therefore, if you plan to file for reimbursement, call your provider before scheduling your first appointment with The Counseling Center. This way, you can determine your carrier’s policy on covering counseling sessions. On the back of your benefits card is the number to call for information
