Welcome to
The Counseling Center

patient with counselor welcome to Counseling Center

Welcome!  My clinical work involves treating clients with anxiety, depression, addiction, chronic relapse, anger, lowered self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ concerns, co-dependency, unhealthy sexual  behaviors, grief and loss, and men’s issues.  I offer counseling for clients participating in medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone) with a physician and are required to participate in counseling as a condition of treatment.

I approach clients with empathy and good humor as a fellow human who is humbled by and respectful of those who choose to share their lives with me.  My belief is that the counseling relationship should be collaborative and individualized. I use elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Enhancement Therapy. In most cases your first appointment can be scheduled within 48-72 hours.

What The Counseling Center Offers Clients

My goal is to create a safe environment for client’s to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Collaboratively we work together to identify your strengths, discover insights, and move toward your goals. With a warm and empathic approach, I focus on empowering clients to help them make positive changes to lead healthier lives.

I make every effort to be responsive to the individual needs of my clients.  Whenever possible, I will return your call the same day, and always within one business day.  Initial appointments can usually be scheduled within 72 hours.

Having worked in the healthcare industry for over ten years, I know that all too often patients are forced to choose between paying for their medical care and being able to feed their families.  One of the factors that drives my practice is the ability to make counseling accessible and affordable.

Because I know how important it is for my clients to feel heard and understood, I work hard to build a safe and secure context for them to explore all the different social and psychological systems of their lives. That trust and safety provides the foundation for deep and lasting change.
